PUBLIC RELATIONS

Advocacy/Legislation
Support the PTA in advocacy for the welfare of children by identifying relevant local, state and national legislation and policies that impact the wellbeing of Sandpiper children.

Grants/Awards
Working to help Sandpiper maximize its opportunities to receive grants and recognition for the amazing things that happen at our school

Hospitality
Help to create an inviting atmosphere at PTA meetings and events.  The point of contact for local mechants/vendors who may donate refreshments/decorations for PTA events.

PTA Membership
PTA Membership helps strengthen Sandpiper by ensuring a vibrant, active community dedicated to the success of our children. 

School Supplies
Offering parents the option to place orders at the end of the school year for school supplies that will be needed in the fall.

Special Education PTA Liaison
Open Doors serves the unique needs of families whose children are enrolled in some form of special education.  


Volunteer Coordinator
Help ensure the success of the programs and events listed here by raising awareness of volunteer opportunities.

Family Directory
A “must-have” in every home, the Sandpiper Directory is a one-stop handbook for parent, teacher, and student contact information, as well as important dates and events.  The Directory can be ordered at Welcome Back Registration for $2 (first copy is free to PTA Members).

Room Parent Representative
The Room Parent Liaison is a communication link between classrooms and the PTA.  The liaison provides tips and support to designated Room Parent representatives.

Sandpiper News Nugget
An online newsletter delivered every two weeks via email.  Contains important school, District, and community information.

Teacher Representatives
A liaison between the PTA and Sandpiper Staff, the representative produces valuable feedback on the quality of PTA funded programs and activities.

Webmaster
Supports the communications goal of the PTA by posting and maintaining content on the school website.

Yearbook
Time goes by fast! Luckily the Yearbook is there to remind students of the great days spent at Sandpiper. Yearbook purchases can be made at Welcome Back Registration or by contacting our Committee Chair.
